The MSTP Distinguished Lecture Series is proud to announce our next speaker for the 2023-2024 year, Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg, Professor and Chair of Ophthalmology at Stanford University School of Medicine​​​​​. Please see below for the event registration.

Dr. Goldberg’s research is centered on the intricacies of retinal ganglion cell and optic nerve development, survival, and regeneration, with a particular emphasis on therapeutic strategies for vision restoration in diseases such as glaucoma and optic neuropathies. His work bridges basic and translational science, aiming to unlock new pathways for protecting, repairing, and regenerating these critical components of the visual system. In his upcoming talk titled “Gliotherapeutics and Glaucoma, Bench to Clinic,” Dr. Goldberg will share insights from his journey in the field, highlighting the progression from fundamental research to clinical applications. He will discuss the development of innovative treatment strategies that have the potential to significantly impact patient care in glaucoma.
