MSTP MSTP DEI Summit

MD/PhD students from across the country have come together to organize a virtual MD/PhD Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Summit taking place July 16-17th, 2021. The summit is geared toward physician scientist trainees and aims to facilitate discussion on DEI programming in MD/PhD programs in order to improve underrepresented minorities in medicine representation, support, and success in the physician scientist career path. Undergraduates, Post-baccs, Graduate or other students interested in physician scientist training are encouraged to register as there will be a MD/PhD student panel. MSTP

The purpose of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) is to train individuals who can understand and contribute to advances in research, and can also apply those advances to the field of medical care. Since our first students entered the program in 1980, the UCI Medical Scientist Training Program has grown and flourished. Today, our students and associated faculty pursue research in fields such as stem cell biology, cancer biochemistry, human brain mapping, among others.
