MSTP First Process Group
To kick off the new year, our first process group of the year is next Monday, September 23. These process groups are a way to create a confidential space to get peer to peer support on managing your program and balancing it with real life! Research has shown that processing the experience of medical school along the way, can be a method of decreasing the negative mental health repercussions. Medical students enter school with mental health similar to their peers and approximately fifty percent experience an episode of anxiety and depression, while going through.
This is a CONFIDENTIAL space. What is said in process group stays in process group. There will be no communication with the administration regarding content. Topics can be anything you want to discuss!
Lunch will be provided.

The purpose of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) is to train individuals who can understand and contribute to advances in research, and can also apply those advances to the field of medical care. Since our first students entered the program in 1980, the UCI Medical Scientist Training Program has grown and flourished. Today, our students and associated faculty pursue research in fields such as stem cell biology, cancer biochemistry, human brain mapping, among others.
